Hobbies Need Gadgets Too!

So everyone either has or is looking for their next hobby. Well, Books are my current hobby and new found passion. I always hated to read in school but now its all changed. Thanks to Santa for bringing me my new Kindle Fire to help with my passion. I take my books everywhere, even on my phone with the Kindle App. My friends and I started a new book club "Provisions and Paperbacks" where we pick a new book every two weeks and meet to discuss and partake in a little sustenance. What a great way for a gadget to lead into a girls night. We met last week and everyone pulled out our E-Readers or iPads ;-), That's when I knew we were in the gadget world. Happy Reading!

Cold Weather!

I know most people wouldn't think about too many gadgets when the weather gets colder. But with winter upon us I found a gadget accessory. Isn't frustrating when you have a touch screen phone or mp3 player and have gloves on. Its a huge production to just to make a call or change a song. Well I have found the answer....gloves that are made just for these situations. There are all different kinds and so far I have found them ranging from $15.00 to $50.00. Here are the one's I found at a department store on the low end of the price range and they are wonderful!

More Than Just Gadgets!

Recently, I hosted a Pampered Chef party for one of my other passions...Cooking. Not only did my friends and I have a great time; I was able to get some great new gadgets for cooking free. In particular, I am really excited about two items. The deep dish covered baker, which is a stoneware cooker that is microwave, oven and refridgerator safe. We tried the baker out the night of the show and made Loaded Baked Potato Chowder all in the microwave. It was AMAZING! Talk about selling itself. Can't wait to try mine out, especially for Thanksgiving.

The second item I can't wait to put to use is the Grill Basket, wait I know you are thinking "Grill?"  in November, but yes I plan on trying it out this weekend to make scallops and veggies without losing half of the food to the fire and not having to put it all on a skewers.

Got to get cooking! :-)

Organization While Out and About!

Just a few weeks ago I was invited to a home party. At first I thought it would be just another opportunity to spend my hard earned bucks on something I would never use. However, after arriving at the Thirty One party, this tote caught my eye. While out and about, whether going to a friends house, weekend trip or just a trip to the grocery store, I usually carry everything but the kitchen sink with me. However, problems arise when there just isn't a good way to organize all my stuff. The best part is I even had options of patterns and colors to choose from. I haven't even gotten my utility tote yet but can't stop thinking about how handy and convenient it will be. So excited, will keep you posted on the final verdict once it's put to good use.

Weighing In...

The word scale is usually associated with weight which quickly brings to mind your body and then for me the though "Oh No!". But I have found a new meaning in my everyday life...how about the weight of a package, mail, food, or even a gadget. A digital tabletop scale is one gadget every household should own. I have been using mine for mail, small packages and then one day had a duh moment to use it for weighing food. Some recipes and diets call for ounces or pounds not cups, handfuls, or vats so our tabletop scale is now pulling double duty in the kitchen.
